This picture of the west side corridor upstairs shows where the original corridor ended. The change in flooring marks the start of the extension of the corridor as part of the 1954 rebuild.

The window on the immediate left (just barely visible) is an original window, and would have looked out over the second quadrangle. The remaining windows, and the lower roof, are part of the 1954 building work.
